Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

Metrivant may collect information you provide directly, including your email address, account details, trial details, billing-related information, and any messages you send to us.

We may also store the competitor domains, monitored pages, feed sources, onboarding inputs, consent records, and evidence artifacts needed to operate the monitoring workflow you configure.

We also collect product and website usage information such as page visits, referrers, attribution parameters, browser information, device information, and feature usage events needed to operate, secure, and improve the service.

2. How we use information

We use collected information to:

• operate and secure the Metrivant product and website,
• deliver trials, subscriptions, billing, and support,
• understand acquisition and product usage patterns,
• communicate service updates, onboarding details, and relevant alerts,
• detect abuse, fraud, and misuse.

Marketing emails are handled separately from basic service communications. Where required, Metrivant relies on a separate opt-in for promotional email and keeps a record of legal acceptance and consent events associated with signup.

3. Cookies and analytics

Metrivant uses cookies, local storage, and analytics technologies to preserve session state, attribute acquisition sources, and measure website and product performance.

The current stack may include Supabase for authentication and app data, Vercel for hosting and runtime delivery, Google Analytics for website and product analytics, Stripe for billing, Sentry for error monitoring, Resend and Klaviyo for outbound lifecycle messaging where enabled, and OpenAI for bounded interpretation or generation tasks after observed evidence exists.

4. Metrivant Watch browser extension

The Metrivant Watch browser extension is a prefill-only handoff surface. If you install and use it, the extension reads the active tab URL and title only after you click the extension action. It then opens the authenticated Metrivant Watch web app with those fields prefilled so you can review and decide whether to save the page.

The extension does not fetch page content, crawl websites, save automatically, collect full browsing history, record clicks, mouse position, scroll activity, keystrokes, credentials, payment information, health information, location, or personal communications, and it does not store Supabase keys, service-role credentials, cookies, auth headers, or long-lived tokens.

When you confirm a save inside the web app, the saved URL, page title, and related Watch settings become part of your authenticated Metrivant workspace data. Extension handoff data is used only to provide or improve the Watch save workflow. We do not sell extension data, transfer it for unrelated purposes, or use it for unrelated advertising, creditworthiness, or lending decisions. Metrivant’s use of browser-extension information adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

5. Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We may share data with infrastructure, analytics, billing, authentication, communications, and support providers when needed to operate Metrivant. Current providers may include Supabase, Vercel, Stripe, Google Analytics, Sentry, Resend, Klaviyo, and OpenAI within the feature boundary involved. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect the service and its users.

6. Retention and security

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but no system can guarantee absolute security.

Current operational retention windows include raw snapshot HTML for 7 days, extracted sections for 90 days, section diffs for 180 days, pipeline events for 90 days, media observations for 30 days, and failed signals for 7 days after the retry window is exhausted. Account, consent, billing, and legal records may be kept longer where reasonably necessary.

7. Your choices

You can contact us to request access, correction, deletion, or clarification regarding your information, subject to applicable law and operational requirements.

Where available, in-product reset or account controls may clear parts of your workspace state, but legal, billing, security, and abuse-prevention records may still be retained where required.
